COTTAGE WINDOWS

We have many different styles of cottage windows available in UPVC, aluminium and low maintenance wood grained UPVC.

A window with a cosy warm appeal

Cottage windows are a type of window typically found in cottages and other rustic-style homes. Ours are made from either wood grained UPVC, smooth UPVC or aluminium. Cottage windows have a simple, classic design and can add a touch of charm and character to any home or new build.

Georgian or surface mounted astragal bar...

Cottage windows are typically smaller windows which tend to have a single horizontal internal Georgian bar (fitted between the glass panes of a double-glazed unit) or surface mounted astragal bars running from left to right across the vents. In larger windows an additional vertical bar can be added. The use of additional decorative bars and dummy mullions are often used to break up larger areas to give that cottage feel.

Some popular styles include...

Casement cottage windows – a stylish way to let in fresh air and natural light.

Double-hung cottage windows – with two sashes that slide up and down. They are a versatile style that can be used in a variety of rooms.

Sliding cottage windows – these slide open vertically. They are a great option for small spaces, as they don’t take up much wall space.

Awning Cottage windows – opening upwards, an ideal choice for windows that are located over a sink or other work area.
