House extensions form a significant part of 5 Star’s business. Over 20 years ago, we specialised in building conservatories and orangeries. About ten years ago, we expanded to include traditional single-storey house extensions, benefiting from the experience of our orangery build team.

With the rise of open plan living, we have removed more inner and outer walls, transforming house extensions into complete renovations and home makeovers.

If you are looking for quotes and ideas on extending, house extensions prices vary greatly. Different methods, traditional cavity wall or a modern modular build, mean one company can quote your project wildly differently to another. They will tell you the way they build is better…but offer one option.

For 5 Star’s house extensions we are happy to quote for both traditional and modern .

We build house extensions today in a ratio of about 60/40 in preference of traditional but modern modular builds are gaining momentum.
