THE ROLE

This role is predominantly to obtain new business via door-to-door direct sales and upselling to existing customers by providing a brief overview of our product ranges and make appointments for Sales Designers to visit customers at home.

As the Canvassing Team Manager, you will be able to demonstrate previous success, ideally within the home improvements market, or have a background in direct sales or fundraising. You will be responsible for building, training, motivating and managing a door canvassing team within the areas we cover. You should be able to lead by example and have the ability to achieve targets.
The role will require you to achieve performance-based targets for you and your team, based on the revenue obtained from signed contracts.

The role requires you to have a strong work ethic and exceptional personality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Door to door canvassing to sell our products and services
• Upsell product solutions to existing customers
• Cross sell our products
• Arrange appointments for sales designers
• Pre-qualify prospects to ensure they meet with the minimum requirements of the business
• Collate accurate information and liaise the same to the Sales Admin team for inclusion on the CRM
• Always maintain the brand and ethics of the business
• Complete weekly KPI datasets
• Attend and participate in regular sales and marketing meetings
• Have awareness of any current marketing promotions within the business
• Understand our competition
• Accurate record keeping and diary management
• Any other duties as reasonably required by the business

WHAT CAN YOU EARN?

Depending on the candidate we can offer this as either a salary-based role or as a self-employed role. OTE of £35,000+ can very realistically be achieved with a further option to earn bonuses on booked appointments or commission-based earnings.

By building the canvassing team there is also the opportunity significantly increase earnings as the team builds.

Working in Worcester, Kidderminster, Bromsgrove, Redditch and the surrounding areas, the successful candidate will visit properties that are in close proximity to where our fitting teams are working on any given day.

5 Star Windows and Conservatories is a rapidly growing installer of a range of windows, doors, conservatories and orangeries. Due to further business growth and expansion the company is looking for an additional Sales Designer to join the existing Projects team.

The role will involve travelling to potential customer’s houses within Worcestershire and the west Midlands, discussing their requirements and assisting in visualising their ideas on IT software.

There will also be time spent in our Head Office at Kidderminster to carry out administrative tasks and customer liaison.

This is an employed position, experience is NOT essential but desirable. Ideal candidate will be IT literate. Full job specific training will be provided.

• A determination, and drive, to ensure that all deadlines are met, all whilst delivering quality work right, the first time.
• MTC card.
• Effective time management skills and be able to prioritise.
• Strong working knowledge and experience of up-to-date on-site Health & Safety.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focused.
• An eye for detail in keeping with our exacting standards.
• Driving license.
• Ideally teams of 2 or 3 installers

5 Star Windows & Conservatories is looking to extend its surveying team. Positions are available for both self-employed and employed roles surveying windows and doors and/or conservatories.

Main purpose of job

• Undertake comprehensive site surveys for windows and doors, conservatories, orangeries, porches and single storey extensions whilst helping ensure that installs are completed within budget.

Role/Tasks & Responsibilities

• To arrange all surveys as required from the sales team in a timely and courteous manner.
• Undertake the survey and discuss the contract with the customer noting changes or additional requirements.
• Report back to sales if any amendments or additional costs are involved.
• Complete the relevant products forms for all contracts along with any additional materials.
• Carry out risk assessments and produce a scope of works for all projects.
• Take photographs of all elevations where works are being carried out and clearly highlight any defects or access issues.
• Produce working drawings/details where necessary for the installers.
• Advise any site issues, defects or potential hazards to the installations department.
• Undertake site surveys for planning permission and/or building regulations.
• Produce CAD drawings and supporting documentation for submission to the relevant authority.
• Inspect bases when built and produce all of the necessary paperwork for manufacture of product.

Skills and Attributes

• Must be able to use Auto-CAD for all working drawings and planning applications etc.
• Be conversant with ‘Roof-wright’ for design and manufacturing purposes
• Be fully conversant with current building regulations and planning laws.
• Understand the requirements for preparing SAP reports where applicable.
• Be able to undertake surveys for uPVC windows and doors and for Aluminium products.
• Must have understanding of lintel and steelwork installations.
• Must be reliable, punctual, an excellent communicator and smart appearance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 5 years continuous experience in the field
• Hold a valid MTC card (Fensa) (desirable)
• Be able to undertake surveys for uPVC windows and doors and for Aluminium products.
• Be experienced in dealing with bespoke projects.
• Have experience in the design and installation of conservatory, Orangery and Atria Roofs
• Be experienced in Microsoft Office programmes and have good general computer knowledge
• Experience in submitting planning applications on-line through the Government Planning Portal.
• Hold a relevant H&S qualification or be knowledgeable in the subject.
