When Mrs. Bleakman requested a home visit, our designer nearly needed a sit-down. The list kept growing: “Can you sort me a new front door, please?” * “Oh, and a porch.” * “And yes, I know my windows need sorting.” * “Do you do those roof lantern thingies? I think I need two, the ones that open when itโs hot and close when it rains!” Our designer, clutching his clipboard, politely asked: “Can we specify one at a time, please?” “Yes,” Mrs. Bleakman replied, “as long as theyโre finished by Christmas!”
The "Bacon Sandwich" Success Score
How do you gauge a job’s success? You want a 5 Star review and a testimonial, sure. But we got more: we got the next-door neighbourโs windows too. And two more houses on the same road. The real customer score? Mrs. Bleakman tells us she served 37 bacon sandwiches and over 200 cups of tea. She said she wasnโt counting… but we think she was!

The "Million Dollar" Brave Move
Sometimes a designerโs talent outweighs the cost. Look closely at the video: the frames are Black but set off by White opening vents. It was a brave design choice that worked perfectly. These high-security windows look like a million dollars, and with 12 locking points on almost every vent, theyโre more effective than sleeping pills for a good nightโs rest.
The "Doctor's Knocker" and the Evening Stroll
One evening, a lady on a stroll actually tapped on the door. She didnโt want to complain; she wanted to know where that big, shiny door knocker came from. “Itโs a Doctorโs Knocker,” Mrs. Bleakman explained (sheโs become quite the 5 Star expert herself). “I’ll get their man to pop round!” The result? Weโre fitting that ladyโs new front door next Thursday. (A Doctor’s Knocker is a classic, heavy Georgian-style door accessory that was traditionally used to help people quickly identify the local doctor’s residence in a town or village).
