The Hybrid® Orbit glass balustrade system comes with a circular handrail profile that provides a contemporary finish in every application.
A Hybrid® system is a composite system utilising both the glass and handrail to take loads, which reduces weight and allows the balustrade to span expansive lengths often without the need for vertical posts.

By making technical improvements in the design of the glass balustrade structure we have been able to integrate the strength of precision-engineered handrail profiles, lighter glass and strong supporting base. The result is light, strong state-of-the-art glass balustrading that requires very few, and in some cases no, vertical supports.
Residential
- Horizontal uniformly distributed line load on handrail (at 1.1m handrail height) – 0.74 kN/m
- Uniformly distributed load applied to the glass infill – 1.0 kN/m2
- Point load on glass infill – 0.50 kN
Public
- Horizontal uniformly distributed line load on handrail (at 1.1m handrail height) – 1.5 kN/m
- Uniformly distributed load applied to the glass infill – 1.5 kN/m2
- Point load on glass infill – 1.5 kN
