Whatever colour you’re dreaming of!
Origin Artisan Slider and the Origin Patio Slider are available in almost every colour, including trendy black, timeless white and all the current greys. Origin can supply and paint in over 150 different RAL colours. In order to give your Origin sliders a flawless finish.
Origin aluminium is coated with the highest-grade powder available. Applied using an electrostatic process after a special pre-treatment, it is then cured at 200°C to form a robust coating that is tougher than normal paint, whilst maintaining a smooth surface. Origin Artisan Slider and the Origin Patio Slider are resistant to scratches and are unlikely to fade.
Handles to slide the doors.
The OS-20 Artisan Slider has a streamlined lever handle designed to last. Manufactured from the same premium grade aluminium as the door frame, it is simple to use, with a flip and locking system. This handle option provides the functional use without any bulk to the frame, so is ideal for a minimalist look, in a choice of four colour options. The OS-44 and OS-77 Patio Sliders come with two handle choices.
The 300mm all-in-one handle and lock, featuring a thumb-turn, and the 500mm offset bar handle with an escutcheon locking system. Available in a stainless-steel finish to compliment any frame colour. The 500mm option offers a more traditional look with a classic functionality presented by the separate locking system.
Origin’s Ultra-Secure Slider.
Security at Origin is a serious matter, which is why both sliding door systems are designed to keep intruders out. The Patio Slider door locks fits solidly into the jamb, or on the OS-20, it can lock into its adjacent door. All doors are ultra-secure with a minimum of 6 multi-point locks.
Both OS-29 and OS-77 conforms to the rigorous standards of PAS 24:2016. The frames are constructed from strong, high-grade aluminium, so whatever Origin system you choose, be confident you’re protected by Origin.

It's not a threshold it’s a track.
Origin offer two sliding door systems: the Origin Artisan Slider (OS-20) and the Origin Patio Slider (OS-44 and OS-77), with different running gear, both engineered to offer brilliant performance. Either track can be sunken into the floor, and for a seamless look and less to step over. The tracks are concealed and there’s less chance of fingers being caught in them. Each system features weighted bearings, so that when the doors are in the required position, they stay in place.
For both the OS-20 and OS-44/ OS-77, double and triple tracks are available, determined by your configuration, allowing the sliding sashes to slide over one another. Origin’s double track system is used for two door sets. If you have 3 or more doors in any configuration, fixed and sliding, then you will have the triple track. Talk to a 5 Star designer about the track height, what drainage you will need, and whether it is suitable to recess the tracks into your floor to create a flush finish and a minimalist design.

Thermal performance.
Origin sliders are the impressive finish for any building project, giving panoramic views whilst not conceding on quality or thermal performance. Origin Sliding Doors and frames are thermally broken to limit the heat or cold transfer, so your generated heat will stay inside in the winter and will reduce the heat from outside entering in the summer.
Origin’s OS-20 Artisan Sliding Door offers an impressive U-Value (W/m²K) of 1.4 when combined with 6.8 or 8.8mm Laminated / Warm edge / Low E Toughened glass units and the OS-29 / OS-44 / OS-77 Patio Sliding Doors offers an even better U-Value (W/m²K) of 1.3 when combined with Triple Glazed (with Argon) glass units.

Sliding doors - effortlessly...
Origin sliding patio doors are British made, born in Buckinghamshire. They were conceived to open your world up with a glide… Effortlessly allowing each door to pass another smoothly – for years to come. The versatility of an Origin slider is that you get to choose where your opening is, to the left, to the right, or the middle of your space, and tomorrow you get to choose all over again.
Why a glide? Weighted bearings stop the doors from moving once they’re in place for an extra level of safety, the doors feature a stop function which stops the lead door from overrunning, everything in between is a glide. The smallest Origin sliders are just 1.4* meters wide and the biggest span a massive 13.2* metres. (*Subject to glass specifications).

Long life, low maintenance...
Regular maintenance makes your sliding doors glide properly by preventing dirt and grime accumulating in the moving parts. Check your sliding doors every month or so, pay attention to the tracks, rollers and wheels for dirt build-up. Don’t forget that the tracks are on both sides of the door and both sides will need cleaning. Start by vacuuming the area to remove any debris. Use a toothbrush and warm soapy water to release grime from the moving parts. Clean your frames with a soft cloth, warm water and mild detergent, avoid using products with abrasive substances in them such as chlorine. Once the travelling parts have been cleaned, a silicone lubricant is recommended.
Make sure to lubricate both the bottom and top tracks, using a clean cloth or rag, silicone spray is ideal, as it doesn’t become a magnet for dirt. Always wipe away any excess lubricant or spray. Slide the doors back and forth to allow the newly applied lubricant to contact all the moving parts. The door lock and handles may also need lubricating periodically with a small amount of light lock oil – (not WD40). This prevents stiffness, rusting and jamming.
