The transformation began with the installation of 12 stunning flush casement windows from 5 Star’s premium Envisage range.  Finished in contemporary Olive Grey, these high-performance UPVC windows mimic the sharp, clean lines of traditional timber but require virtually no maintenance. To complement the look, the windows were fitted with sleek chrome offset handles.  As Mike and Vanessa want to keep their home secure, the Envisage windows include shoot bolt locking mechanisms that grip the frames at multiple points and hinge bolts that prevent the windows from being forced open from the outside.  This formidable combination keeps the cold air out, the warm air in, and ensures the home is tightly sealed against intruders.

The First Impression: A Forte Front Door

For the front entrance, the Windsors wanted a statement piece that didn’t compromise on performance or safety. They chose a premium composite door from the Forte range in the striking Links Sakura style.  The door face is finished in matching Olive Grey, beautifully set against a contrasting Black-Brown outer frame.  To ensure the internal hallway remained as bright, light, and welcoming as possible, the inside face of the door was finished in a Gloss White, bouncing natural light deep into the home.  To round off the project, 5 Star also installed a set of matching Olive Grey UPVC French doors. These doors bridge the gap between the main living area and the garden, utilising the same high-security multi-point locking systems as the rest of the house.

Uncompromised Security: The Ultion Factor

Because security was Mike and Vanessa’s top priority for their travels, 5 Star equipped the Forte front door and the new matching Olive Grey UPVC back door with industry-leading Ultion locks.  This system is completely keyed-alike, meaning they only need to carry a single key to unlock both the front and back of the house, so no more rattling heavy keys.

A Warm and Safe Future

With the project completed, the Windsors have achieved exactly what they set out to do. Their Malvern home is now significantly cheaper to heat, noticeably warmer, and boasts a multi-layered security system to deter intruders.
