Aluminium Windows, Doors & Art Deco Internal Doors in Worcester

To maximise the quality of life enjoyed within the property, the family had eyes on a series of upgrades to it, with a hankering for ultra-modern, aluminium-crafted solutions. This would require tracing a company that catered for this and capable of delivering the exacting standards so important to them. A tip-off from a friend and a builder who had hired 5 Star in the past encouraged them to give us a visit and gauge our offerings and expertise.

5 Star’s Worcester showroom was local, so they journeyed there first, but then also popped into our Kidderminster site as they wanted to see as many of our products as possible. It just so happened that in Kidderminster we had a gable-shaped frame almost identical to what they envisioned and internal Art Deco style doors that greatly appealed and with detectable quality from seeing and touching them. Those visits proved inspiring and after some constructive conversations with our design advisors, it persuaded them to appoint us.

Numerous aluminium products from 5 Star’s Origin collection were selected and then came the big decision over colour choice – they opted for RAL 7021 Black Grey, as it’s a midway point between RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey and RAL 9005 Black.

The enormity of the work required it to be carried out in three phases. All external windows were installed first, then the front façade, including an aluminium front door from Origin’s premium suite. Finally, the fitting of Origin OI30 internal doors, defined by their Georgian, rustic-style appearance, wrapped up things.

5 Star’s installers encountered some very unkind weather during the fitting process and the super-slim panorama doors with 20mm sightlines were particularly heavy to manoeuvre. They also had to be careful with the surveyed sizes, ensuring they accounted for the appropriate frame extenders and various finishes, including the front stone cladding. But having managed installations like this for nearly 25 years, every challenge thrown at the team was expertly overcome.

By their own admission, the customer is a perfectionist and understandably so. This makes it all the more satisfying how thrilled they are with the final outcome, delighting in the scenic views, copious natural light and sleek, modern aesthetic that the family of aluminium windows and doors have brought.

They have already referred us to a couple of professional colleagues and said they intend to reappoint 5 Star soon to integrate an extravagant glass enclosure, using Origin heritage frames, under some stairs.
