Innovation Meets Practicality

​Every element of the Walkers’ new extension was selected for ultimate convenience and modern style.  Cleaning traditional blinds can be a nightmare to clean and cats climbing up them. 5 Star solved this by installing internal glazed blinds. Sealed safely between the two panes of glass, these blinds never collect dust or dirt. They are effortlessly operated from the inside using a clever, magnetic slider system which is a popular feature that customers can see and try firsthand in the 5 Star showrooms in Worcester or Kidderminster.  The front of the extension is dominated by a stunning three-panel sliding bi-folding door system. The lead door operates beautifully as quick access to the garden. When the weather permits, flicking the locks allows the entire wall to slide away, completely opening up the home to the outside.

​A Quick Tip from 5 Star

We love reminding our bi-fold customers of one golden rule to protect their investment: Never engage the lock while the doors are wide open. If you do, the shoot bolts will stick out from the frame. If the door is then accidentally pushed shut while locked, those bolts can scratch the track and frame, a heartbreaking mishap on a beautiful new installation!
